1.1 Background of the Study

FM radio stations have emerged as vital platforms for promoting civic responsibility by educating the public on their rights and duties as citizens. In Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, FM radio stations broadcast programs that encourage active participation in governance, environmental conservation, and community development. By addressing issues such as voter education, tax compliance, and community service, FM radio fosters a sense of civic duty among listeners.
